Printype was a typeface that was meant to resemble the style printed in books. The little U shaped contraption over the right hand keys is ruling device or pencil holder for underlining by lowering it and moving the carriage. The ribbon needs to be replaced but otherwise it is functioning okay. The mainspring is still taut and the keys have good action up and down. The decals show only minor wear, some of the finish has crazing and there is some finish chipped off on the front corners. A thorough oiling and cleaning and a new ribbon will do wonders for it. It is a true boat anchor weighing about 25 pounds before packing.
