Old postal counter/desk constructed of walnut with pine writing surface and oak trim. Desk came from the Mustoe post office in Bath county, Virginia. Best guess on age is early 1900's. This is a pretty stout piece, top is 33" wide and 68" long. Writing area is sloped from 33 1/2" in the rear to 30" in the front. Overall height is 44 1/4" tall. Top pigeon hole section will come off for moving and transport. The left side opens to reveal more pigeon holes. Small wooden stand is for computer monitor (it's not attached). Certainly a unique desk. Delivery will be considered on a case by case basis, with fees agreed upon before end of auction. Desk is currently located in Alleghany Co. Virginia.
