is a great old original late 1800's mechanical bank . Made by J&E Stevens. Pat. date on bottom of Jan 23, 1883 . It is in very good used antique condition. No cracks, no breaks, no repairs. Has some paint loss as expected from age and play. The paint is all original. I did not try to clean. This bank works perfect as it should. When the lever is pushed down, the mother eagle leans forward opening her beak to feed her baby chicks and the eagle chicks both move upward and open their beaks. Very cute with a nice smooth mechanical action. The mother eagle has glass eyes. The round coin door on the bottom is missing. This ia a great old toy bank from the late 1800's.
