Antique "Ugly Baby" design "Drink Hires Rootbeer" Mug Made in Germany for the Charles E Hires Company Villeroy & Boch Mettlach - 3095 IV - there's also a #26 and a 07. Estimated d ate of manufacture is the late 1800's to early 1900's. The glaze is cream colored but it has some yellowed areas especially inside of the mug, but there's no significant staining and no significant crazing that I can spot (I saw only traces of it on the high spots deep inside the mug). It doesn't look like it's ever been over-heated either. Upon very close inspection, I did not see any significant or visible chips or cracks whatsoever . It's rare to find a mug that's virtually perfect. But here you go! Take a look at the photos and judge for yourself. A cool original advertising piece! Combined shipping on similar-sized items that can be packed together for economy. In all cases if you win more than one item with me I will offer you the option of combining shipping by packaging items that can fit together into one box and be shipped that way to save costs.
