Great eastlake styled piece!Offered is an antique ornate cast iron collapsible hanging shelf. Super design, fine casting. Painted with an old bronze or copper paint, over almond. No markings that I can find. The piece can be disassembled by removing the shelf and folding the bracket against the back. The shelf is not hinged to the back, and lifts off. Was this also used as a trivet, or was it meant to be portable for some other reason? It's a mystery to me! Maybe you know.Has 1 small crack in the casting on the back near the bracket hinge.
