This was an antique I bought to do up and never got round to it. Ornate real wood framed upholstered chair - it looks similar to the french louis/regency style but have also been told by an antique dealer that it could be a victorian salon chair. This is being sold as a project. The wood on show is in good condition with no breaks or chips although it does have the usual wear consistent with an aged piece. This is real wood not the plastic/resin type material that todays reproductions are made of I have had it looked over by an upholsterer who has said that the frame is solid and none is damaged or broken but could do with tightening up at the joints as has some movement. The padding and fabric however needs completely redoing as there is little padding left and the fabric is torn and there is also a seat spring broken and no seat pad. (All easily rectified) As the pictures show this is a lovely chair and could be fabulous when done up (pic 5 is to show how it could look although this is an obvious reproduction) - it could also be painted to enhance/create the french look Grab yourself a bargain. Collection only from Devon or buyer to arrange courier.
