(If International Bidders wants to bid Please contact me..thanks) This is a Enchanting antique Victorian period Rose Gold brooch or Pin. Not real familiar with this type of jewelry but I will describe the best I can so please ask any questions before bidding in case I left anything out. It is about 2 1/2" or 63 mm in diameter. weighs 7.8 grams. Has 5 Wild Cat claws each mounted in a very ornate hand engraved mount. The shape looks like a Star or Starfish. Each Claw and mount is 1 1/8" long. On the end of each mount is impressed 9ct. It has a Trombone clasp on the back which according to the web it`s English and from the late 1800`s to early 1900`s. The reason I say Wild Cat claws is I do not know what kind of Wild Cat that was hunted to make this brooch. The little research I did I found out that the British would go mainly to India on Safari and when they killed a Wild Cat they would get the claws and have them mounted and call them hunting Trophies. Their is a few VERY minor problems. When I say minor these things do not affect the actual appearance of this brooch. Again the things I`m describing reads worse than it is.. Most of this is just really considered normal wear for a piece of antique jewelry probably worn and handled a lot over the many years because of it`s significance and beauty.
