Highly collectible old antique Ostby & Barton sterling silver and Solid 10KT Gold (marked as such) Intaglio Ring sz 10 3/4, very attractive, dating this ring to the 1910s, perhaps even earlier, shows wear but excellent vintage condition, it is a very high quality classy ring and really grabs the eye, pics tell the story, stamped sterling 10KT GOld a hallmark "OB" and a symbol . The OB stands for Ostby & Barton, , they were one of the most well known and renowned jewelry manufacters of the period, they company was founded in 1879 and ran into the 1940s, Ostby perished in 1914 on the Titantic, but his grown daughter survived, , their upscale jewelry was known for its exquisite workmanship and design, and has become one of the most collected of all jewelers of the period, , ring is amazing,, approx 5/8" x 5/8" , nice warm patina that only comes with age and wear, winning bidder may want to polish too taste, these rings are getting hard to find because the owners never give them up, very collectible, Perfect Gift, or treat yourself, ,please check out my other auctions, most times I can ship multiple auction wins together with no additinal shipping costs.
