Antique Convex Oval Framed Baby Portrait circa 1900's This endearing portrait depicts a young happy toddler from over a century ago. Dark ringlets and smiling eyes of this child match the mood of the special frame of gold painted carved wood. Measuring 24 1/2" long by 18 1/2" wide, this tintype styled print is showcased underneath the original domed glass. The graduated convex dome protrudes to about an inch at the center and the only evidence of age is a pinhole sized bubble on the lower section which is quite difficult to notice. The backing of this piece is well constructed with cardboard stock. Water staining is evident on the lower third of the back, but has not flawed the front of this charming print from yesteryear.
