ANTIQUE VICTORIAN 1870 OXFORD UNIVERSITY SCRATCH FOURS ROWING PEWTER QUART TANKARD A fine and rare antique large polished Pewter Trophy cup with engraved crest of University College - dated 1870 - Rowing interest. The engraved writing reads: - University College - Scratch Fours - W.R Ingham - Bow, G A Holme - 3, S.R Osborne - 2, F.H Wilson - Stroke, - A Hill cox 1870 This magficent piece is in fine condition - no damage or restoration, it measures 21.5cms high and 12cms in diameter at the base - the tankard is polished pewter, with a glass base. it has makers stamps that read James Dixon & Sons 182 - it is also stamped ROWELL OXFORD a very fine and scarce antique - very collectable and will be highly sought after....
