This is a PAINTED ANTIQUE DUCK DECOY, one of two I am currently listing on ebay, they both came from the same estate. Please check out my other auction. Decooy measures about 16" long from tail to end of bill, about 5" at its widest and about 6 3/4" tall at the head. I am not all that knowledgeable about decoys, please ask any questions if you need to... There is one eye which appears to be glass, but none on the other side...Piece is a very deep blackish/green, there are slight traces of other colors and of perhaps painted wings. Great grain to the wood, this decoy seems heavier/denser than expected. There is a weight attached to the bottom which I am almost certain is original, and there are two small metal hooks, one near the front and one near the rear. There appears to be some damage or a repair to the side of the head without the eye, please view photo. Also, although the head is intact, it can wiggle from side to side and there is some dried glue residue where the head meets the body. Buyer to pay $15.00 shipping/insurance within the U.S..
