I am very pleased to offer this antique old painted child's stool/box/seat with circus lion character on panels on both sides. This had one owner and it was his shoe shine box. It is in very good overall vintage condition with the following conditions to note. Panels are original and black paint is later. It has an interior dowel hinge. One panel has some discoloration or soiling. Small loss of wood on one handle end piece near top (as photographed). Crack at one end top flip cover near hinge. It measures 13 1/2" wide by 12 1/2" tall x 7" deep. A very unique and charming (possibly 30's or 40's) children's folk art item.
