I have up for your viewing enjoyment and bidding consideration this very nice, older pair of signed spurs. Both are initialed "S E". The leather is laced through to the underside and also stitched. They are a sturdy, solid spur and in good vintage condition. The metal spur measures 6 1/2" without the leather strap, and 3 1/2" wide w the leather strap fastens to the metal. The silver looks to be hand-tooled. The tooling on the silver round piece that attaches to the leather strap has been worn down through the years w only part of the tooling is visible, only adding evidence of its age, and giving them character. VERY RARE ~SIGNED AND MARKED ~ " KELLY BROTHERS & PARKER". My many thanks to a fellow ebayer who took time to point out to me that this pair of spurs are very rare. I have since found the KELLY BROTHERS & PARKER hallmark, along with the " S E ", which I still haven't found out who the initials stand for. Possible the first owner? Noticing the quick and immediate response from ebayers upon my listing this set of spurs, I could tell many of you had already known the well known maker. The straps seem to be original, consisting of two layers of leather and all intact and in good condition considering they were made about 100 years ago. I do want to thank you for checking out this fabulous RARE and hard to find spurs hand made by Kelly Brothers & Parker.
