This is a rare thimble and thread holder with a cat byPairpoint Mfg. Co. The piece is made of quadruple plate. It is 3 5/8 inches long and 1 ½ inches wide. The piece has a cat in a playful position on the edge. The piece is marked on the bottom with pairpoint Mfg Co., quadruple plate and 20. It dates circa 1880. This appears to be a pretty rare piece as we have not seen another like it. The piece has lost all of the silver plating. There are no dents or other damage.
