Up for bid is this wonderful very old Victorian Paper Mache Tilt top table with Mother of pearl inlay. Let me tell you a little of what I have found out about this table. I bought this little table at an auction in Springfield Ky. The auction floor was cold and everything was selling for a song. The table had been a curiosity to me all morning and once the bidding began I couldn't help myself. This table is Victorian in style, and once had a beautiful floral painting on the top. But due to past owners misuse and care it only has a shadow of it's former scene. It still has all of it's mother of pearl inlays and it still retains most of its gold piping and gilting. The table top also suffers from crazing and damaged edges. I have tried to photo as much of it as possible. The table top measures 18 1/2 inches. Overall the table is 28 inches tall. The base measures 14 inches and is in good condition. The hardware looks to be brass. If you have any questions please e-mail me! I will gladly send you additional Pics of any part of the table.
