This is a no reserve auction. You are bidding on an antique advertising piece from the Kernan Stove Co. This miniature replica of a stove bar grate measures 4 1/2" long. Bar grates are found in coal stoves and used to sift the coal from the ashes. This antique miniature is either a salesman sample or giveaway company paperweight. It is made of steel and is marked "KERNAN SHELF BAR GRATE PAT`D JUNE 9 1900". A wonderful rare piece to add to your collection!
