~ Antique Paris Porcelain Pair ~ Early 19th century, this is a S UPERB pair of old Paris porcelain royal figures depicting a Renaissance King and Queen wearing elaborate costumes with fantastic detail. They have gorgeous handpainted faces, and they are exquisitely modeled and richly decorated with gold, silver, and colorful 'jewels'. A large and heavy pair, each figure measures 14 3/4 " tall and weighs approximately 6 pounds. They are marked on the bottom of their bases with a handwritten ' Decoration Inalterable' and impressed makers marks. So unique and utterly fabulous, this wonderful pair is a M AGNIFICENT display! Condition: Both have age appropriate gilt/silver wear, and scattered factory firing lines. The queen has loss to the top of her sceptor, and an old tight hairline on middle left side of gown that goes around to the back; there is a chip on the back of her base rim, and a chip underneath the base rim. The king has repair to right wrist and hand, and is missing sword in that same hand; there is a chip on the left side of his hat along with touchup to hair on same side, and a small hairline on cloak behind his feet. Both figures have one small round hole in the top of their heads (they were made that way, this is not a defect nor is it damage), not sure of the purpose, but they are not visible for display. Please email if you would like to see additional photos or closeups of any area. ****** ...including French & German Dresden Bisque & Porcelain... ~Thank You for Viewing my Auctions!~ ******
