Ah I hope someone can visualize this 111 year old piece without the rust, and see what it can be.... with the lovely finial and beautiful scroll work- it still has the potential to be the centerpiece of the room. This is an 1897 Radiant Home stove that has been stored at my parents residence for decades. It measures 60 inches tall. The door is 16" long and about 10 1/4 inches wide. The patent date is Nov. 16,1897 and it has the number 218 below it. From my reading I learned that number is a classification for stoves that means it has the additional aparatus to be able to cook on it. Indeed the finial lifts up and t is a cooking plate below it. The stove also has the embossed "Radiant Home" lifting piece to match. T is a circular piece that is stamped Griswold-American 6 in. Reversable Patent July 20, 1915 and steel spring, imprinted on it. The majority of these pictures do not have the large ring on the top of the stove, it is included in photo 11. The ash pan needs to be replaced, but the stove has no holes in it's sides or bottom, that I could find and does not appear to have been ever welded or repaired. One piece of trim on the back needs to be welded on. If you have any questions please email me early, this is not my area of expertise, and I am happy to supply any information you may additionally require. All extra pieces read more
