Pedang Pusaka from Central Java with very nice pamor TAMBAL. This is a very nice and old Pedang (traditional sword) from Central Java (Indonesia) A Pedang is a ritual (and spiritual) weapon that was forged by an Empu the same way a Keris is forged. This sword has, according to some, even a more spiritual value. Pusaka means that the pedang is a weapon with a history of inheritance and was given from father to son for many generations. The Pedang is 2 cutting edges, but 1 is over the total length of the blade as normal, the cutting edge on the back side begins after the curve. This Pedang has still a very nice visible pamor on the blade (see detailed pictures). This pamor is according to me a Ngulit Semangka (watermelon skin) This is considered a very positive pamor, specially for protection against (natural) disaster. Special about the pamor is the small pamor Miring, that is according to me Pamor Tambal. This Tambal is situated at the curve is very special, this indicates a high spiritual power. The pamor is hard to get on a picture. Off course in real vision the pamor is more nice. I'm not a pamor expert so please check this yourself (see the pictures). This Pedangs is very old, probably made 17th century . The nice wooden handle is from Central Java and made from nice grained wood. As you can see the handle is matching well read more
