Peerless 110V tipped light bulb with Patent Notice paper tag inside stem of bulb. Label on outside reads "16 CP Peerless 110V" though you need a magnifying glass to read what's left of the "16" This is a real find, the patent notice is clearly legible on both sides of the paper slip inside the stem of the bulb. The paper is brown with black printing and the notice is printed on both sides within the drawing outlines of a tipped light bulb. I tried to get the best possible photos to show this. First side reads "The manufacturer of this lamp is licensed under patents noted on other side" Second side it is possible to make out the dates and part of the patent numbers before the paper is obscured by the fiberous fill (not paper as is more commonly seen) between the wire leads. The second side reads "Mar 20 94 516... Apr 16 95 537... Apr 16 95 537... Apr 28 03 726... And others" The first patent is most likely 516800 by Henry Burnett and Samuel Doane of GE. The next two are likely 537498 and 537693. These can all be read by entering the patent numbers into Google Patent Search. I'm not sure on the last one. The bulb is 2 3/8" diameter by 4 7/8" tall with Edison base. Filament is the typical anchored double loop from this era. Shipping is by USPS Priority Mail.
