I am putting a $20.00 starting bid on this piece because regardless of its condition, the painting on it is stunning. It is a perfume bottle without a lid. The bottom is stamped D & C France and it looks like t is a "U" incised next to it. The bottle measures about 4-1/5" tall and is just shy of 14" at the circumference. It has a large chip at the lip and t is a large loop-shaped fine crack that looks like its lassoing one of the roses. It still has a fragrance (very old fashioned) and I believe it is early 20th or maybe even 19th century. To me the painting looks like the same quality as the early Limoges decorative plates, so I am surprised t is no signature on it. I think it's a gorgeous bottle.
Please be courteous and ask questions before you bid. It is most appreciated.
