ANTIQUE PERSIAN / TURKISH HELMET 18th/19th C Here on offer is an antique helmet it looks to be Turkish or perhaps Persian at least 19th Century may be much older please study my pictures and ask any questions as this is not the sort of item I am used to handling. Made from steel with bronze fittings, the nose protecter raises up and down and to the rear is a chain mail section for further protection. Condition; very good, perhaps there was once a chin strap and there are dints to the section. IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO FORWARD ANY INFORMATION IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED. Measures 12 inches x 8 inches wide and approx 12 inches high excluding chain mail, seems to be an average to large male adult size and just noted no lining to interior how do I know because it really hurt when I tried it for size. Please ask any questions prior to bidding.
