Up for auction is a lovely Gigantic Pewter Decanter/Pitcher. This is a gorgeous item and would be a very unique addition to the pewter lovers collection. By the looks of this decanter, I believe this is an antique, though I have no documents to verify that. T are the normal markings that came from use over the years, but overall, it is in excellent condition. T are no dents, dings on this gorgeous pitcher. See photos of this gorgeous pitcher/carafe.
DESCRIPTION: This is a very pretty item. This decanter is extremely tall and very heavy. SEE PHOTOS! The "bowl" area is decorated with a circulating patterns. Please see the photos as I am not sure what these patterns are. A very pretty feature though! The handle is large and sturdy and is very ornate and scrolled. Very victorian. T is no lid on this item. It is open at the top for easy filling and dispensing and is very Shakespearian. The carafe/decanter features a round style base. This decanter/pitcher will be a treasure for it's new owner. The pictures don't do it justice. DIMENSIONS: The decanter measures approximately: HEIGHT: 12 inches WIDTH: 9.5 inches BASE: 5 inches WEIGHT: 3 pounds 5 ounces All measurements are taken from the highest point to the widest point, including handles, spouts, finials, flips on the lids and all other extentions of the piece. MANUFACTURER MARKINGS: The markings on the bottom of this decanter are small and extremely hard to read. T are 6 different marks underneath the base.PAYMENT: Payment is due within 7days after the end of auction. I will combine shipping to multi-auction winners who make 1 combined payment only.
