This is a great mold that was used by my friends Father in law as a chef in the early 30's. I am helping a friend with his mother-in-laws estate. T are several more of these molds that I will be listing and I can combine shipping to save you some money if you will please let me know you are bidding on more than one item. This is a very neat old mold it is heavy and hinged at one end it is about 5" long and has some nice detail inside, see pic. My friend said that it was generally used for chocolate but that they were used for ice cream also. This mold is marked E. and Co out of NY and some of the others are marked copywrited 1889. It has a mold number of 006. E and Company was originally out of Germany. This is definately a collectable t are some available through antique dealers on the web but most of them are asking between 40 and 70 dollars. This would be a great gift for someone that was in the business or that collects old kitchen items. Merry Christmas. Great deal with no reserve so bid away. Please email if you have any questions.
