antique collectible Victorian Ice Cream Pewter mold ! This rare double-sided and hinged pewter Wishbone ice cream mold is from the late 1800s or early 1900's and it is the last one I have for now. It's made by made by Kraus and is # 322 . This mold is in excellent condition with a very nice patina. , see the pics. Hing is fine too . It is 7 1/2" wide open . inside is usable and reasonably clean but because of lead content not recommended for food. Great gift for the collector. I will combine shipping. This mold came from a collection that was brought in 45 years ago to be scrapped. Luckily somebody thought the were cool decided to keep them and they made their way to a basement w they sat for the last 45 years NO RESERVE THE HIGH BIDDER WILL OWN THIS MOLD. A little about ice cream molds, Most ice cream molds, were made of pewter and were two part, hinged and heavy, in order to hold the cold temperature longer, but un mold the ice cream easily. Along with the 20th century came commercialized commemoration of more and more holidays and these decorative molds were made to help people celebrate these events. Now Ice Cream molds have become collectors items and are going up in value T were mainly three early 20th century American companies who designed and manufactured ice cream molds.
