Antique vintage coloured photograph miniature picture of Grasmere Church in the Lake District,Photograph is set on a back plate of gilt metal with integral loop, made as a costume jewellery charm for fitting on to a charm bracelet. See 2nd photo showing reverse of the metal plate on which the photograph is firmly fixed. Condition: Coloured photo is in excellent Antique condition, picture clear, caption lettering clear and colours good under original shiny surface of photo. The back plate made of gilt metal is tarnished at the back. Size: 2 centimetres x 1.3 centimetres I don't know how old this item is - it should be possible to date it on the basis of comparing the landscape view how it looked at different times in 20th century but I think it might date from around 1900 - 1920'sThis is a rare little collectable of Grasmere in Lakeland /Lake District in its early 20th century period when tourism was growing thanks to railway and motor bus tours Termsof Sale.
