Antique Victorian style wooden piano stool with 4 handcarved legs with eagle claw feet clutching glass balls. Seat is, I believe, oak and is 14" in diameter x 1-1/4" thick. Stool height is 18" from floor level. Seat has a threaded bar attached to an iron flange attached in turn to the back side of the stool. It goes thru an iron sleeve inserted at the center of a circular wood slab mounted on top of the legs thru to the large middle pole held in place by handcarved cross bars attached to the 4 legs. The threads on the iron sleeve may already be worn out and needs to be repaired or replaced. The seat is now fixed at lowest position and does not go up and down anymore. The claw feet are made of cast iron with the hollow upper part firmly set over the ends of the wooden legs. The clear glass balls are each 1-1/4" in diameter. This furniture piece is in good antique condition with normal usage and storage wear marks and no chips, cracks or repair marks on the wood and iron parts or on the glass balls. Shipping will be 30.00 to any of the lower 48 USA states and actual to AK and HI. International bidders please see payment and shipping instructions., God bless America!
