Antique Pincushion / Spool Clamp English * Circa 1900 This utilitarian antique clamp serves three purposes. It incorporates a clamp, a pincushion and a double spool holder. It's made of a non magnetic alloy (perhaps nickel silver). It measures 7 1/2" tall with the screw about half way in. The spool holders contain spools of Sylko thread by Dewhurst. The velvet cushion is intact and original, though missing most of its nap. The spring is super strong and clamps tightly. The metal is also in nice condition with no damage or loss. The surface is gorgeous, polished with no discoloration. T he screw holds tightly along the entire length. It was bought in England, but could be Continental.
