ARTS & CRAFTS UNIQUE PIECE FOR DISPLAY OR USE!!

I'M GUESSING FROM THE 1920s - 1930's.

AUCTION IS FOR AN ANTIQUE WOOD & CAST IRON FRAMED BUTCHER PAPER RACK with STRING CUTTER. PROBABLY USED IN AN OLD GENERAL or COUNTRY STORE TO WRAP MEATS, CHEESES, ETC.

NOT RESTORED & ORIGINAL with a WONDERFUL PATINA ON THE 2" WIDE SOLID WOOD TOP PIECE THAT HAS A 7 ½" TALL CAST METAL BASED STRING HOLDER.

The cutter is 13 "tall x 6 ½" wide at feet. The metal cutter bar (springs snug) measure 19" long. The wood roller has been replaced.

EMBOSSED TRADEMARK " THE PIQUA " with an EMBOSSED BORDER DOWN THE SIDES ON BOTH CAST IRON LEGS .

This cutter can be fastened to a counter or sit on a shelf to display your collectibles, hang towels, or in your kitchen for paper towels.
