Up for your bidding pleasure is a signed Pittsburgh reverse/obverse painted table lamp. This lamp is often referred to as "Call of the Wild". The shade is reverse and obverse painted on a chipped ice topaz "beehive" shade with a scene depicting an Indian canoe beached on the shore of a lake with his teepee and a glowing campfire. All this with a mid afternoon sun in the sky. The detail is excellant as you can see in the pictures I have listed. The shade is 18 inches in diameter and is in pristine condition and is free of any damage. The shade can be see on page 46 in the reference book "Better Electric Lamps of the 20's and 30's but my lamp comes with the coveted "Owl" base. The shade is Electrolier Decoration #14731/2. Please view the picture of this page. The base is marked P.L.B. & G. CO #2159 and comes with 3 original Bryant pull chain sockets. The base is in good condition and has no damage. This is one of Pittsburghs' high end lamps and when was the last time you had the opportunity to get this lamp with the "beehive" shade? An opportunity for you to own a great Pittsburgh lamp. The complete lamp stands about 22 1/2 inches tall and has been rewired with a cloth period cord and old plug. Please check all wiring after shipping before using for safety reason.
