Antique 'Plymouth' Clock H - 9 3/4" W - 8 3/4 " D - 5 5/16" Up for auction is this very attractive doric styled mantle clock. It has beautiful walnut veneers with burled inlays. The back door to the clock opens to reveal the inner workings of the clock. The case is in fine condition, and has a few little nicks and a crack in the base board as can be expected with its age. The case retains it's beautiful original finish. The face features black numbers highlighted with gold on an off white background which gives it a true art deco appearance. The movement is a signed New Haven eight day pendulum movement which strikes the hour and half hour on a coiled gong. The movement must be wound weekly with a key (included). It has been cleaned and serviced and runs like a champ!!! This clock has been well maintained and is in beautiful un-restored original condition!!!!This is a attractive, rare and all original timepiece from the art deco period! It is unusual to find one in this pristine condition! Please view the photos as they are part of the description. Check out my other items ! and Be sure to add me to your favorites list !
