T his is a very nice Art Nouveau or Art Deco period Pompeian Bronze bookend / statue. It features a glamorous lady, in a long flowing red dress and blue cape, draped against a buffalo or bull or bison. I have not been able to find another one like this. It is in the style of and attributed to Paul Herzel with the Pompeian Bronze Co. On the bottom rim it has a ( c ) mark. I believe it dates to about c.1900. He is a very well noted scuptor read more
