Offered for auction is this neat old vintage antique original 1920s? - 1930s? " PONTIAC " CAR ORNAMENT / EMBLEM . Fresh off of a former Salvage Yard owner's Estate Auction right in Kansas. We do not have a clue as to what model years of Pontiac Cars this may have come off of? Or, whether it was located on the Radiator, Dash, Hood, Trunk or some other location on the body? Made of a dark brass or copper metal material in the shape of two coins joined together. One coin features the illustrated profile of an American Indian , and is marked; PONTIAC - CHIEF OF THE SIXES . The other coin has a decorative wreath and is marked; PRODUCT OF GENERAL MOTORS . Back side has rust and remnants of some type of mounting glue or solder? Measures approximately 2 3/8" in length, 1 5/8" in heighth, and 1/8" thick. Condition overall, and considering its age, is good to very good. Shows general wear and soiling from use, storage and handling, with areas of dark tarnish and staining, various small dings and light surface scratches and t, and the rust and residue as mentioned above, but no chips, cracks, dents or other damage that we can see .
