Charming antique porcelain children on bench. There is beautiful detail in their faces and 1700's costumes. The little boy has a powdered wig and is wearing a purple frock coat, salmon colored breeches with blue bows, white stockings, and purple shoes with green bows. He has his arm around the little girl. She also has a powdered wig with a flower. She is wearing a dress with yellow bodice, white ruffled sleeves, a dark rose skirt with an overskirt in green and white stripes. She has green shoes with blue bows. She has a basket of flowers on her arm and is holding flowers in her left hand. They are sitting on a wonderfully executed bench that has been painted to look like marble. There are garlands of greenery on the back of the bench. Dimensions: Height is 6 1/2 inches. Width is 5 3/8 inches. The depth of the bench is 2 1/2 inches. The piece is not marked, but it is numbered on the bottom of the bench. It is in wonderful condition. The only thing I would wish to bring to your attention is the handle on the basket. It has broken off. (Photo #4) Fortunately, it is not very noticeable.
