This is a fabulous ink well with a lovely figurine. The metal is cast and heavily gilded. I do not know what type of metal it is, but it is quite heavy. The figurine is beautifully hand painted as can be seen in the pictures. T is a little damage to the brim of the hat. T is a small chip that can be seen only from the back of the ink well. It looks as if the brim of the hat was hand sculpted in the making and is very thin and delicate. T are a few tiny nips to the shrub next to the figurine, but nothing that is readily apparent. This item displays beautifully. I have tried to show a close-up of the figurine, because I believe it is of fine quality and looks quite old. I know nothing about this item and purchased it for its beauty only. The ink well is approximately 9" tall and 7 '' wide. The figurine is 5 1/4" tall. Please review the pictures and email me with any questions. All sales are final, so ask questions beforehand. Please wait for me to invoice you prior to paying. Buyer pays actual shipping and required insurance only. I never make money on the shipping. Thank you for looking!
