This antique Portuguese colonial cabinet is made of rosewood and has a dark, rich, reddish brown finish. Newly restored and imported from the far east. Our first photograph was professionally shot by the restorer. This cabinet features two heavily carved doors with sun burst motifs and extensive foliate carving along the top. The sunbursts have a gentle convex shape that unfortunately is not apparent in our photos. Cornice and plinth feature delicate egg and art molding that's typically seen with sun burst designs. Interior has simple shelves. Original brass tear drop (swing drop) handle and key. Meaures 51" wide by 78" high by 22" deep. It's being sold on behalf of a gentleman in Manhattan with an extensive collection of English and Portuguese colonial (Anglo-Indian and Indo-Portuguese) 19th century antiques.
Additional images available upon request. Item must be picked up in Manhattan New York NY, zip code 10021, within 10 business days of purchase date. We'll be glad to provide a quote on packing and shipping. Other Keywords: QUEEN VICTORIAN BRITISH IMPERIAL EUROPEAN LINEN PRESS CABINET SWAN
