A 6 1/2" tall 'tiger whiskey' pottery cylinder vessel that has a rare beige/metallic colored glaze finish. Condition : A sparkling clean jug which does have one chip from the base (seen in picture) otherwise MINT condition. Age : An early handthrown piece, ca. mid-to-late 1800's . We find these antique vessels occasionally in Montana as t was a strong Chinese settlement in even the smallest mining camps. This one was unearthed while searching for antique bottles. Sometimes these are referred to as Chinese Tiger Whiskey jugs, or soy sauce / sake jugs. This one comes in a very unusual color, a metallic beige color, a color we have not seen before, check it out!
