Serious collectors of country antiques know how scarce items with old paint are getting to be these days! And when you do find something, the price is usually through the roof. Well, we thought we would give our eBay customers the chance to pick up a 19th century butter churn with fabulous, old orange/red paint. We bought the contents of an old barn recently and found this old churn hidden away inside. It's made of staved pine with three iron bands and still has its original splash cover with folksy-looking, little handles! We haven't done a thing to it since it was discovered. It's still a bit dirty and dusty from generations of storage. It's surface is untouched with a wonderfully worn & weatd patina. This churn is solid, tight, and not going to fall apart on you. It's not infested and doesn't have any dry rot issues either. This churn stands 34 1/4 inches tall, including the dasher stick. It has a base diameter of 8 inches and a top diameter measuring 6 1/4 inches. This is an authentic, country antique churn that will look great wever its displayed!
