* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Antique Vintage Farm or Barn Wood & Metal Hanging Rack A Nice old Country piece This quaint old barn or farm rack is from my personal 36 year collection. I purchased it at an upstate NY farm sale long ago. I don't know its exact age. It has been only used for display. It is made of a nice, warm colored wood which looks like walnut to me, and both upper and lower wooden parts are incised with 4 lines each for simple decoration. The wooden slats are 7/8" wide by 3/8" thick by 26 1/2" long - the upper slat being slightly longer than the lower one. T are 6 thick wire hooks firmly inserted into the wood, each having 2 loops for clothing, hats, towels, etc. which are double wired and shaped into upward loops at their ends. They are meant to swivel nicely. They can also fold down flat when not in use - great for behind a door! It's a very sturdy rack - made for farm or country use - and very well made . T are two vertical wires running through it with loops for hanging on a wall that also are a part of the rack's structure. Great for a rustic or primitive farm / country look! It shows minimal wear with one slight wood split on one end that doesn't show from the front. Weight: 15 oz. A Nice Counrty Piece. Great for any farm or Country collection!
