Here is a wonderful antique native American chiefs blanket. Very primitive..made in two pieces and crudely sewn together in the center. The blanket is large 48 x 68. It is woven from a scratchy wool in a stripe pattern of various colors. As you will see in the photos one side of the piece is faded lighter than the other as it was hung on a wall for many many years. The lady that had this was a missionary and the story she told is that it was given to her in her travels as a "thank you" for the work she was doing. She traveled mostly in the 20's and 30's. I do not know what affiliation this is. Please note there are some tears in the blanket at one place on the bottom. The blanket is in primitive condition but is fabulous folded, hung, rolled or displayed. Great collectable. Due to downsizing I will part with it but am starting the bid at what I can live with to let it go. Hopefully someone will love it as much as I have.Buyer to pay $14.70 priority postage in the U.S.
