For your consideration I have a very early Stepback Cupboard or Jelly Cupboard This is from a York County Estate Sale. This is a ONE PIECE cupboard. The large barrel hinges are cast iron. T are large square nails used in the construction. The wood is yellow pine. T are grooves in the shelving to sit dishes or table ware. You will look long and hard to find an early primitive cupboard like this one. It has one draw back. Someone stripped the original green paint. You can see some of the remnants of the green paint. T is old wallpaper on the inside of the cupboard. At some point and time someone added a base board on the bottom or underneath the cupboard. You do not see it but it has been added. This cupboard is a great size at 36" across the front, 13 1/2" deep on the top and 18 1/2" deep on the bottom and is 77 1/4" high.
