This is a great primitive wall mount coffee mill. It is 14 inches tall by 4 1/2 wide and 3 3/4 inches deep. At the handle, the coffee grinder is 7 3/4 inches deep. The metal fill cap adds another 1/2 inch to the height and the handle extends below the tin cup another 2 inches. T is a decorative design on the grinder and matching design on the handle. This is a coffee grinder I bought in the early 70s when I first started working. I used it in one kitchen and have been storing it since. I saw w another seller listed a similar one. He seemed to know antiques and said his was a rare Arcade, model X-Ray. He said the only way to know this is by a sticker on the glass that identified the coffee grinder as Arcade. I would imagine that the original owner would have removed the sticker, if not immediately, with many washings. I have no way of knowing if this one is an Arcade, but it does look a great deal like the one he listed which ended on Jan 3rd. However, his did not have the cup, the metal cup holder, or the wood that extends below the mouth of the mill. I believe these make my coffee mill extra special and especially unique. I understand that having the fill cap is also rare. I don't know if the glass is original or how to tell. I bought the coffee grinder from a man who sold antiques out of his barn. Since I was young and new to antiques, he tried to help me buy things that were interesting, unique and would be of value. T is the tiniest nick of wood out of the top near a nail hole. Smoke free home.
