Very Old Antique Portrait of Ali Pacha. Late Grand Vizier of Janina. Also known as The Lion of Janina, The Mohammedan Bonaparte and Muezzinzade Ali Pacha. Ottoman Official, General and Grand Admiral. This portrait came with a lot of pictures posters etc. we recently picked up. We are not sure if it is an engraving, etching, lithograph or print. We are told it is well over 100 years old probably around 150. It is in a very old wood frame, the glass in it is hand cut. The portrait itself is cut fom a larger piece of paper. On the very bottom is a signature, see pictures, and underneath that we can see written "facsimile of the signature of Ali Pacha" which cannot be seen in the frame but is readable along the very edge partially cut off. T is also two other lines on the portrait; "Drawn by F. Stone." and "Engraved by W. Finden." The paper on the back of the frame does not appear to be original but is very old none the less, it has a sticker on it which reads "Genuine Old Print" and a symbol of what looks to be a J and a man riding an old bike with the very large front wheel in front of it. The paper has been ripped and cut around the opening and some small pieces are missing. The portrait itself has a small water stain along the lower edge, pictured above.
