Antique DAZEY BUTTER CHURN No # 40 Brand: Dazey Churn & MFG Company Origin: St. Louis, Missouri Year Manufactured: Possible 1919 into 1920 Capacity: 4 quarts Size of Glass Jar: 9-3/4 inches tall x 6-1/4 inches wide (not including lid and mechanism) Overall height: 14-1/4 inches (including lid and mechanism) Number of Paddles: Three (3) Hardwood (NOTE : Missing one (1) paddle) Lid Material: Stamped Steel Threaded Screw Cap Top Cast Iron Gear Frame with Hand Grip Cast Iron Crank with Natural Hardwood Handle READS on Glass Jar in embossed raised letters:"4 QT" "DAZEY CHURN & MFG. CO. No40 MADE IN USA ST. LOUIS. U.S.A." (Circle shape) The base of the Glass Jar is embossed with raised numbers: "3 562" Square High Shoulders on Glass Jar CONDITION : Butter Churn is original. NO attempt to restore or clean. Glass jar rim exhibits 1/2 chip on edge of rim. Bottom of glass jar show signs of wear, which is common from being moved around a while churning the butter. The lid and crank exhibits quite a but of rust and pitting. It is also missing the pour spout cover. The crank and gears move freely. Please look over all pictures carefully as part of description and email questions if needed. Although this churn exhibits some flaws it still displays wonderfully in the primitive setting. It seems there has been an influx of sellers trying to buy items and reselling them on this site lately. Honestly, just because I start items at .99 whatever I get for an item is usually the maximum. If you are a seller and plan on asking for a partial refund just to increase your profit margin on an item I sell you than you better think twice because I have never given a partial refund and you will just be asked to return the item. I do not pay return shipping nor do I refund initial shipping. If you plan on returning an item you will be responsible for the return shipping charges no matter who you are or what your gripe is. I try to give everyone in the world an opportunity at the items I sell. If you are an international scammer and think that you will claim an item did not show up just remember I track every package. You will be exposed as the lying cheat you are and your claim will be denied. Like I said above if you have ever left a negative feedback, I am probably not the seller for you, as everything I sell is "as is" "where is". If you do want a refund you will have to pay the return shipping and the refund will not include your initial shipping, only your purchase price.
