Nice Antique Queen Wimshurst Electrostatic Generator NR Description Here is a nice unusual antique Wimshurst style electrostatic generator. This one has a brass tag for James W. Queen & Co. Philadelphia on it as can be seen in the photos. This one is unusual because it has both friction and influence. The piece measures 39" high, 26" long, 25" wide overall, with a 20" dia. large wheel. The wheels and posts are fiber, walnut base with brass discharge. This is a large piece and will be shipped in multiple boxes. We are going to try to disassemble the piece, and since the screws are rusted, you will need new ones to reassemble. One mercury glass ball is missing as can be seen in the photos. It appears to be in good condition overall. It will need a good cleaning. Due to the size of this piece, we will not be able to ship outside the US.
