I'm not sure if this clock is walnut or mahogany or a combination of woods, but it's one gorgeous timepiece! This came out of a local farm estate in Tamaqua, Schuylkill County, PA. It includes the key. I wound it up and it does appear to keep time and it strikes on the half hour and hour. I'm not sure if this would be classified as the Vienna type clock or simply a Victorian Eastlake wall clock. I'm not an expert on clocks. The pendulum is inscribed with the letters R A. The clock face is in remarkably nice condition. It features a large letter J inside a star with the word Unghans beneath. A very nice piece of Americana. The clock might be missing a small decorative cap on the very bottom, I'm not quite sure. But when I hold it upside down, it appears as if some kind of wooden cap might be missing. If a bottom decorative element is, in fact, missing, it's not really noticeable when the clock is hanging. Add'l. info: The clock measures about 30" or so from top to bottom.
