Presented for auction is a fine sterling silver Francis 1st by Reed and Barton small silver chased tray. With four large Baroque fruit designs and four lavish leaf designs this is a grand example of Francis 1st silver at its best. The piece is clearly labeled Reed and Barton Sterling Francis 1st on the back. The piece measures 12 1/2" in diameter. It has a natural cant to each of the octagonal sections. This gives it a depth of almost 1/2". It has one round blemish and a few tiny marks on its surface and a few knife marks. It weighs 21. 6 ounces. This piece remains in fine unrestored condition and are usable for service and elegant dining. A lovely Mother's Day or Easter Gift.
