The World Famous Meissner Analyst A Servicing Instrument that is also a Radio Walther Meissner was one of the early pioneers in the field of Radio and Electronics. You may be familiar with the term, Meissner Effect as it relates to superconductors . Although one might consider supercondutors a recent development, Meissner discovered the effect in 1933! Meissner's genius was applied commercially as the Meissner Manufacturing Co . in Mt Carmel, Illinois which produced products for the burgeoning radio and electronics field in the 30's, 40's and 50's. Now you have the opportunity to own a very popular piece of equipment produced by Meissner from that great era. The Meissner Analyst 9-1040 was introduced as a complete servicing set for the radio technician in 1940 and was marketed until early 1942 and again for a few years after WW II. The Model 9-1040 has four 6E5 Eye Tubes and a voltmeter. This 65 year old equipment is in very good cosmetic condition. No antique radio buff should be without this super piece of test gear. It will quickly become your favorite vintage test gear because of the green eye tubes and because it contains its own complete TRF radio when headphones or speaker and output transformer are attached.
