I have up for bidding a very rare piece of pressed glass by Aladdin Lamp Company. Aladdin was well known for their lamps. This is a piece of pressed glass Art Deco ivory opalescense ALICITE BOWL. It is a deep color pressed glass that resembles natural gem stones. Developed in 1938 by Henry Hellmers. It also has its original lid which in itself is unusual to have both. On the 2nd picutre the circular shadow on the lid is w piece of glass has slivered off. The rim of the lid is rough from being taken on & off. The third picture shows a hairline crack from top rim down & turns left. I filled the bowl with water & it does not leak. The 4th picture showed on the rim of the bowl w the design of 3 raised lines that a slice of glass has removed all 3 slices. Even with these imperfections it still is a rare & beautiful piece. Overall dimensions are 4" height & 5" from rim edge to edge. The fifth ;picture shows the raised letters ALICITE by ALADDIN.
