Antique Rare Early 20th Century Anheuser Busch Gold & Silver Advertising Watch Fob.... Up for auction is this wonderful, extremely rare antique gold and silver Anheuser Busch advertising watch fob! Adolphus Busch joined his father-in-law's brewery in 1865. He had a peculiar notion about advertising . He believed that the family business was not just to make beer, but to make friends! Just to make sure that his friends would not forget him, Adolphus didn't just leave a business card, he developed tokens that people would remember him and his brewery by... This stunning gold and silver watch fob in the shape of the company logo, a standing eagle within an "A" pertched atop a shield with the intertwined "AB" was presented to my paternal grandfather in 1907. He had been doing work on the Busch family carriages at the St. Louis Carriage Company and this was a token of their appreciation. The fob was worn on a watch chain until my grandfather's death in the mid-1970s. He never forgot the Busch family or the beer that the world has come to love! This unique gold and silver fob measures 1 1/2 inches in height and is 1 inch wide from either end of the "A". It is 1/2 inches deep and weighs 15.20 grams.
